Salary £30,418 - £33,102 pro-rata depending on experience.

The Southwark Diocesan Board of Education Multi-Academy Trust (SDBE MAT), is seeking to appoint an experienced individual to support our finance function and support to schools.

The Finance Assistant is a member of the Trust Central Team. They are responsible for supporting the Finance Manager and Trust Central Team in delivering an effective finance service to schools. The role will include the following:
- Provide professional finance support to Schools within our Trust and help ensure compliance with statutory requirements. This includes but is not limited to bank reconciliations, journal posting, clearing control accounts, transaction processing and financial monitoring.
- Support the production of financial monitoring reports for individual schools including Monthly Management Accounts, Governor Papers and statutory submissions.
This post would be suitable for someone who is a qualified or part qualified accountant, or an experienced finance professional. Experience in Multi-Academy Trust/Academy accounting would be an advantage.
